This is how I plant how I plant a tank with diggers and remove a little bit of nitrates while getting some gain out of the exercise.

For the legions of fans following this closely, desperately awaiting an update here you go. There are a couple of peppers growing on one of them. Will just have to let them get bigger to see what they are. Til next time,

After yesterdays report of peppers growing, the complaints about not showing photographic evidence of said event were legion. So, without further ado,

Haha! pepper success. how about a shot of the front of that tank? it looks like you outwitted those diggers, but can you watch your fish? I'm getting a chuckle out of this endeavor. Nice sump ;-) ?

The tub sits on top of one side and goes down about six inches, plenty of viewing space left. The oscar actually hangs out under it frequently but comes to the open side for feeding. Only down side is high lighting causes some algae growth that is hard to get to but everyone seems happy and healthy.

I'm surprised the plant can produce peppers. that's awesome. I wonder if that makes it consume more nitrates.
does the tub have holes across the bottom?
