My oddly planted tank

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I'm surprised the plant can produce peppers. that's awesome. I wonder if that makes it consume more nitrates.
does the tub have holes across the bottom?

I will naturally flower but I have to hand pollinate to get fruit. Or keep bees in the house that idea was not well received. The tub has holes across the bottom as well as the sides and the individual containers have holes also.

jalapenos?

cool, I never thought of combining my love of fishkeeping with love of growing peppers.... although I do water my peppers with tankwater.

It's positioned not to and so far there are at least three. Another unknown type is starting to bloom and I'm just waiting for the ghost pepper to start.

Thinking the one in front with the giant leaves may be some type of eggplant. Just keeps getting better.

That's actually quite an accomplishment. Peppers are dry growers and can fungus or root-rot easily in too much water so getting the results you have is stupendous. Keep back some seeds from this plant since that variety is successfully growing in water and you don't know if your next plant will be as water-tolerant if this one dies. Plus you could sell seeds to some future MFK aquaponic experimenters.
