I don't know about poison glands but he's eaten newts and stuff too. Just think of all the poisonous things Oscars come into in the wild... He's healthy as a horse!

Try to stick with prepared foods for your fish, you never know if the creature you just fed your fish had a parasite or what not, and IMO its not worth losing the fish. Feed it crickets or worms from the store if you want to see it eat something alive, it is much safer, but stay away from feeder fish you didnt breed yourself, they are known to carry internal parasites.

Oscars are native to Peru, Colombia, Brazil and French Guiana (feral in Florida) and inhabit the Amazon river basin and other river systems & drainages, all of which have anywhere from 40-200+ different kinds of snakes in their habitats. Insects, small fish, crustaceans, reptiles & amphibians all make up part of their diet in the wild.
The concern with giving him the snake would be, as already mentioned, if he had come across pesticides or something else full of disease. Probably best not to chance it if you want to keep your Oscar & the other tank inhabitants healthy...and ditto about the feeders. Usually full of diseases if gotten from Local Fish/Pet stores.
