ewwww!! i dont mind lowerd trucks but full sized trucks lowerd just doesnt look right IMO

for once i agree with knowda!!!
you dont need a gas tanker with u, they have big tanks. lol
only bad thing about the H1 is the price. ow!!

But range rovers are greatly over priced. nice dont get me wrong, but for price and everything else Ill take some great american power.

My brother has been a GM mechanic for the last 10+ years. He will tell you that about 50% of the GM engines need to have major engine work within the first 50K. Point is proven when both of my newer Chevys and his GMC had to have engine work with less than 30K. He had to have the engine completely rebuilt at 25K. Both of mine needed the intakes redone.

Plastic intake manifolds are the problem on a lot of GM vehicles. Once the intake leaks (whether the gasket or the intake manifold) there is a good chance of the engine ingesting coolant which wipes out the bearings once it gets mixed in with the oil. That 50% figure is high, but not by much! :D I have a good friend who is the service manager for a Chevrolet dealership.

I used to work for an extended warranty company in the claims dept. and saw it all. That's why I can honestly say Range Rovers and Land Rovers are over priced crap! Too many claims on them for the same things over and over. Electrical problems and engine oil leaks......constantly. The smart people get rid of them once their warranty expires!

bro what are you talking about
the new land/range rovers are AMAZING overall review is a 4.6.

The H1 can go anywhere sure, BUT that's if you have a gas tanker following it.

Overall review by who? 4.6 out of 100? :D Reviews and reliability are two very different things. Check out the reliability issues in Consumer Reports magazine. I'll agree that they drive nice and have some cool features, but that does no good when they always need fixing. Even a friend of mine that sold them and BMW's agrees that they always need repairs!

H1 fuel mileage isn't that bad, especially for the diesel powered ones.
The low end torque of a diesel is great for off roading too. Rovers get terrible gas mileage too as they are very heavy and are about as aerodynamic as a brick! :D

american vs foreign blah blah blah! discounting the offroad capabilities of a well-built foreign vehicle is just foolish :)

oh man are you serious? :(

I would NOT want to be in that Jeep XJ - what are they doing, trying to drive out of a frozen lake?!?

Aren't most US vehicles made in Mexico now anyway? I don't understand the buy US mentality when its the US companies' management that are shipping jobs to Mexico and/or ruining the companies from the inside. Many Japanese/Korean companies are moving plants to the US.

Give me a 4Runner or LandCruiser any day.
