I hate to burst your bubble but Land Rovers are jeeps. That company was started by two brothers after WW2. All they did was take left over Wiley-Overland Jeeps that the allies used and added body cladding to them.
And lets not even get started on diesel engines....

That video was a bit of a sham.
1. The trucks didn't take the same path.
2. The Jeep was fitted with what appears to be a higher suspension package and better tires.

To make a real comparison, you pretty much have to talk about stock models off the showroom floor. Once you mod them, the game changes entirely. I'm not saying one is better than the other, but if a Land rover is just a re-made Jeep, then it should do just as well as the Jeep under the same circumstances.

I guess it is a bit closer than I originally saw. I had to watch it a couple more times. Almost seems as though the Land Rover hesitates a bit and catches a loose area. I'd be curious to see a one-on-one comparison with an even playing field.
