Hey new here, wanted to show off my "pond wall" project and see if anyone had any suggestions. not new to aquaria though, currently running a 65 gallon seaclear with a 4 line pim and some cichlid buddies, have had many other tanks but just these 2 right now. this is my new project, a 250 gallon tank w/ 5 gallon "overflow" skimmer pumping up to a 55 gallon bow front/bio filter back down to tank. planning on keeping a couple channel/bull head cats & maybe a red ear slider or two. takes up one whole side of my condo patio :)
suggestions? comments? concerns? thanks!

Welcome to the forum, mate! Lovely survivalist / DIY-er you got there :) You will have lots of algae problems unless you provide good cover so that it is heavily shaded.

there is a tarp cover that i devised that snaps in place over it, try to warm the water a little this after noon so i took all the covers/ umbrellas down. definitely a concern though, theres an olive tree just the other side of the fence in the picture that loves to drop debris.

im planning 2-3 channel cats and possibly some bluegill/perch. theyre plentifull at my local lake. the goldfish are just a temporary to prove out the system, however i catch 1 ft + channels & blues in the upcoming spring on a regular basis and plan on housing some large cats =)
