I thought i had a problem as suddenly a lot of my polys had really serious tail bites but it turned out to be the mbu (who now has a new home in another tank of mine!!) and so no i haven't had any problems whatsoever. I've kept small fish under 3" with mine and it didn't touch them. mine loves massivores and frozen prawn, fills itself up til it looks likes it's gonna burst and then just sits around til it's digested.

NICE!!!! I've got mine on choppe catfish nuggets ( :ROFL: ) and Hikari Carnivour. They are still too small to take the massivore I think. :( It is funny how they gorge themselves and then just prop themselves up on their pelvic fins till its digested. Gluttons they are for sure!

Have you always just had one? I've noticed between my two they sometimes squabble and chase each other.

What size did you get yours and how long did it take to get that large? I'm used to pims. growing fast, but thats was RTC and TSN. Not sure what to expect with these guys.
 
always just had one but his friend the giraffe is with him all day long chasing up and down. at first i thought they were either squabbling or courting but they've been together for 8 months now with no problems so i wouldn't worry as i think that's just how they are. the place i got him from had about twenty in all together and that looked awesome. got him in dec last year at about 7" and he has doubled in mass and size since then.
 
Ok, so about a foot a year then? Thats acceptable! :D Seriously looking forward to watching them color up and get beefy!!

Do you have any photo progressions of yours? Like from when you first got it till now? I would love to see how it gradually colors up!
