my pleco wont eat

i put in aquasafe water conditioner two days before i put the fish in... do u think itll be ok because im startin to get worried :(

U really dont need to worry unless u did something wrong...

I recently bought 3 plecos from petsmart.. all were $1 and one actually had ich.. I cured that guy.... the other two were eating the first night i put them in.. and same with the Ich pleco..

The key is to let the pleco eat at east and feel comfortable..

A small tank is fine with baby plecos.. the only reason why people say u cant put them in a small tank is the stress... and sure.. a small tank is bad if its a life long home for it... But certainly not the case if its a grow out..

Pleocs take time to adjust in new tanks.. a bit more if the fish are stress.. IE disease, infection, bacterial.. etc..

just make sure u provide enough food and turn OFF light.. plecos like to feed in the dark..... 90% of pleco activity is in the dark.. never with light...
 
I never see my plecos eat, they eat the algae and I throw some shrimp pellets in the corners where they like to go to trick them to eat, Ive had them for 6 months now so it must be working
 
pleco will eat just about anything, I wouldnt worry about that so much, dont expect new acquired fish to eat that soon, it'll take time for them to adjust.
 
i just hope he is ok because he really is a good lookin pleco..wat should i do about the little bastards nippin at him?
