Got a question about the gold dust....man its small lime earthworm small...what could i feed it to beef it up...doesnt look to have eaten yet. Im guessing blood worms and small 1mm pellets ?
 
Yeah the two new ones are gonna go in a different tank....didnt realize how small it was
 
I've always gotten fast growth from my bichirs and cichla off of tilapia and it seems to keep them full longer also. I would alternate between massivore and tilapia.

Its ok to feed them fresh/frozen fish even when they are that small?
 
What I always do with small fish like that is make beefheart a good part of the diet until they are a chunky 5"-6". Then take them off beefheart because it's not healthy as a long-term staple. With the beefheart I'd feed blood worms, brine shrimp, tilapia, pellets, etc.., the main part for me is just feed a good chunk of beefheart as IME beefheart really helps chunk a fish up and give it a couple inches of length when young.
