Here is my pool liner pond. I am still getting rocks to put around the edges to cover up the liner. Anyway, after putting sand in the bottom (without rinsing it :WHOA:) it has finally cleared up :headbang2
I'm surprised at how many frogs I have with this pond....everytime I go out to look at the pond about 10 frogs jump in :nilly:

Here are some pics of my pond:

Plant time...

I haven't had the best of luck with plants...I had some water hyacinths sp? and they all died :nilly: I think I would prefer fake plants....and they don't die in the winter

Its really coming together. I must say I had my doubts when you started, but its turning out well.

I see you have some cat tails growing in there, they are great for the shallow areas. Very tough plants. Take a look at google maps for your area and find some ponds or low areas for hunting local plants. They will have the best survival odds and finish it off nicely.

How deep is it? Do you get birds and critters after the fish?

It's pretty shallow, about 17 inches in the deepest part. I have had ponds shallower and have done fine in the summer and winter. The main birds that I have are doves and they just drink the water :D

Thanks, I had my doubts too at first...but am very happy with how it is now, just need a few (well, alot) more rocks! I just knew I couldn't pass up the free pool liner :headbang2
