Next year put the Hyacinth closer to the flow. They prefer a lot of water movement, will do fine w/o, but like the flow. if they don't stay at the end with the flow, tie fishing line to a cople of rocks and use it to corral and keep the Hyacinths close to the flow.
Any plants growing in the ditches and ponds around your house will overwinter just fine. Can't go wrong w/natives. Just wash the soil off and give the plants a little QT prior to intro. to your pond.
