Yes, those are indeed very beautiful, and your photos do them justice.

You may keep the Rainbows even with cichlids, which are not too big and aggressive!
 
That is a fragment of my other Discus/Rainbow tank.
As you see – there is just a free “plant jungle” and living place for growing fishes…
