Is it good that he is not doing it continuously?

Yes it is.. and he should start curling towards the rear of the disc first anyways..

Looks like something stressed it out bad, obviously the ammonia. Keep up what your doing, but I wouldn't add any RO water or anything that would cause swings in water parameters..

Thanks for the advice guys and I guess a little good news. Like in the pic when he does curl it is in the front not the rear. I have some small red wigglers. Should I add those to see if he will eat? They have not been fed since last night. He tore into them last night BTW.

What about the fuzz? Just signs of stress or a fungus?

start getting large amounts of water delivered to your house....

not sure about the fuzz, could be fungus or shedding his slim coat.

could you take a better picture?

i would try to feed him again and see if he takes it!

Well I dropped about 8 red worms in there and I know that he ate at least one of them, maybe more. My motoro chowed down on them like there was no tomorrow.

When he stops eating thats when it is time to really worry....Sounds like it might pull threw.....I would do some kind of water change.....run to wal-mart and get some drinking water real cheap and maybe do it that way if you cant do it another....

Unfortunatly I am about to leave for work and I will not be able to get back untill late tonight. Would the drinking water be better then R/O stuff?

I am going to bring some samples of my tap and tank water to have my manager test them better. She knows her stuff and is hot too!

Anyhow I heard some splashing in the tank so I lifted the blanket to take a peep and expected to see my motoro but to my delight it was my retic. He has lost his color again and about half of his disk is now covered in the white fuzz along the edge.

Go get bottled water!

Thanks for the help guys. My ray is doing alot better now. The white fuzz is mostly gone now, but some red sores are now in place where the thickest white fuzz use to be. His underbelly is red as well, especially around his mouth.

My params are: ammonia 0, nitrite 0, nitrate 25, Ph 7.2. The nitrate is high so i will do an h20 change tomorrow, but my tap is still bad. I can get R/O from my LFS; should I go with that or another source of water?

Any way he is being very active like he was before. This time though he is flying through the water column. I have seriously never seen him do that since he was poured into my tank and swam down to the bottom! I have watched him for the past hour swim back and forth and in the powerhead current. What could be the cause of this totally new behavior?
