My ray is not doing so well!!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I think that the un-expected water change with the high Ammonia levels could have permenantly damaged the gills. Sorry for your loss :(

Its strange. I have lost fish before, but it seems different when you lose a ray. They seem like they are more of a "being" then just a fish ya know.

sorry to hear it!! I had a fungus thing that started at the base of the tail and worked its way down exposing the spike and seemed to eat away the body of the tail. I could get no responce from treatment and the other 3 rays were fine. Unexplained anoying death!!

Sorry for your loss. It is terrible to watch them die. It really motivates me to learn more about them so I can do more to save the next one.

They are wonderful animals!

May i subjest a RO filter. It will get rid of all of the ammonia, nitrite and other polutants that bother your ray. It cost around 150 bucks. i bought one still awaiting to instal because of my plumbings all screwwed up...
