Thanks for all the comments, the rays had lots of sand on them because the male was trying to mate with the female. Would have put up pics of them but they was all so bad. It's strange that you don't see mantillas around they are some of the most beautiful rays

The brighter one is from a U.K breeder James Lacey and the redder one is also from a U.K breeder called Richard Ridgway.

None. The rays love them. They pick them up with their teeth and move them about, they also like to search for food in them.
