As long as your nieghbor picks the Oscar up today, things should be fine. In the future just remember that your RD will not tolerate another large fish in its territory.

ok. how long would it take though for my rd to assert himself and not be afraid of me????

A week to two weeks and the RD will actively respond to you and most likely everyone else that comes near the tank. But there are those exceptions where Rds will be quite skittish or placid. The more changes that you make to the tank during the Rds introduction period, the longer it may take for it to become confident in its surroundings. So try to stay away from making any unneeded changes to the tank for the next few weeks. If you don't have any already, you should add a cave or something for the RD to retreat to. thats the thing though. he doesnt want to eat my pellets. i think ima have ti starve him for a while see if he eats them then.
That usually works. My Midevil (midas/RD) refused to change his diet to the larger pellets so I offered him nothing but them. He lasted about two days on his strike, now he accepts them. He's packed on some weight because of it. Keep trying.

E had a red devil for the past 9 months now. He is now fully grown and more to go with his hump 4 years old going on 5. I recently took him out of the comunity tank. He was friendly with the small tetras and the catfish pleco and pictus thats about it. He hated feamals of other species especially the american wolf to the death they fought. BOOBIE as is his name is 12 inches long about 6 or 7 inches deep i took him away cause its getting close to breeding seaon i think cause he will attack anything but hes tetras lol. He eats them when im not looking i think but he never attaks them oh yes the sharks silver or black tipped get along just fine. Im thinking of putting a feamal in with himI just replied to your other thread, then read this one. What the guys are telling you is correct. The O will most likly die and a 75 isn't big enough for both. The guy that said a 75 will hold both those fish wanted to sell you the RD. You sould take the O out as soon as possable.
