My Red Texas project

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
That fish in my "default" pic (avatar?) is from 2011 and was 100% covered in massive popcorn pearls, a big head, wrap fins, short face, and an awesome base color. Your fish pictured do not (so what was your point by that?). And I'm still breeding and refining an rt type fish.
All I did was ask a question and offer advice.

"Massive popcorn pearls" are so 2011.

Typically breeders use the reddest blood parrots or kkps they can find for color to make red texas. Pretty much anything red can be used.

Thanks for the info! I might try my hand at this for fun

I agree whole heartedly especially mentioning the larger pearls.
Yet, I understand why he's holding the pair. He's emotionally attached to them after all this time he's had them. But those same emotions may hold him back from achieving what he envisioned when he put this pair together.

Aren't we all emotionally attached to our fish? Unless you are feeding your family from breeding RT, or winning competitions for the best RT, then you are just another hobbyist comparing yourself to a fellow hobbyist. Beyond depth of knowledge, nobody is better than anyone else or winning anything

I think that's why it's so important for us to converse respectfully with each other.
Knowledge is shared so much more easily when we stop posturing.
