Who cares, it is a win for us.

Ummmm.......I care?.....

Seeing that once Reptiles and Amphibians are targeted specifically, no one is going to care one bit.......

It's already happened in Texas........And it had to do with road collecting.......Many people tried to head it off at the pass, but politics won out......

Actually, you are wrong.

Animal rights lobbyists proposed legislation in South Carolina banning all exotic animals.

Thanks to members of the Southeastern Hot Herp Society, specifically Roark Ferguson, Steve Bennett and Dr. Sam Seashole, that legislation was defeated twice.

So they don't always win.

And yes, you should care. After they ban the reptiles they will come for your fish.

Chad

Well they are not specifically targeting them right now so you can go ahead and be pissed that something MIGHT happen or breathe a sigh of relief that it is not happening now.

When did South Carolina become Texas?

This was about a Texas issue, more specifically about Texas politics......

Texas is safe as long as a blanket mentality covers "Exotics", because of the scope of Texas game ranches and the revenue they bring in, which pales in comparison to the Reptile/Amphibian trade.......

Once they start to break that category up, the Politicians will not be on your side..........

This is a bigger issue than just Texas though. Restrictions are being pushed all over the US and I think that the SC example is a good one of how politians don't necessarily always win.

on topic, we have to always be ready to fight for our rights. they are gonna come after us. Im sure im much higher on thier list than most of yall, with Chris and chad next in line(might be the other way around). They wont stop untill ALL pets are banned. just gotta keep an eye out always

man..... sucks living in the states :P

Honestly, I am surprised they have not started to come after venomous and crocs like they are large boids.
