my room smells horrible

Yeah most likely stirred up a pocket of gases in an area of substrate that hadn't been stirred up in a while.(like somone stated)

Did you use Prime when you did the water change? That product can get a smell that could gag a maggot. Carbon or resin will remove the odor.

Check the lip of the tank for the remains of bits of food, etc.

Also, are you feeding Massivore, Ther-A, or a garlic laced food?

I really can't see prime doing it.I've used it since it came out and never had this happen.my girlfriend accidently spilled a whole bottle and the smell dissapated very rapidly.

may not be a long term sorta thing, but i heard if you take vinegar and pour some in little plates and set them around the room it will help get rid of any smell.

all i really know to add, good luck!
