Give his puffers away while he is gone and tell him they died. If he complains tell him he had them in improper living conditions and he is to blame himself.

LOL, I like that one! Of course, someone like that would just go out & guy 2 more... :(

LOL. I would probably do that.

And then replace them with 2 Dwarf Puffers so he won't throw a hissy fit.

It's really odd. He is so proud of his tank because the tank itself is an all in one system with this fancy hood that holds a filtration system and lights. I was non-to-impressed when he showed it off two me...I guess it was expensive...but when I looked at it I just thought to myself...."That looks like a really expensive home for....Guppies? Endlers? Dwarf cory's?" but then he got the puffers. He said he "saved" them from walmart.

He doesn't even care about the fish. They are just something for him to keep in his expensive glass box. Like buying an expensive and high maintenance dog just because you want people to see how much you spent on the collar.

IDIOT

Well then, find them a good home & tell him they died, because they were housed improperly. Maybe he'd think 2x about getting more?

Is There ay puffers apart from an MBU that Grow over a foot in Lenght??

You need to start your own thread on this.

Tell him the puffers and the gecko DIED and find them a home where somone might take care of them. You obviously know he's doing wrong housing them this way, TELL him so or do something about it!
You can't "save" things from walmart, they just buy more to replace the ones that either died horribly or sold to homes they would die horribly in due to their terrible health. Whatever pride he has in "saving" them from walmart tell him he has undone in dying even slower WHILE supporting their mistreatment of fish.
Tell him they died, tell him WHY they died (using all the many reasons they WILL die from) and convince him not to get more, please!

I bought him a heating stone and lamp for his gecko "For Christmas". I put in while he was gone and plan to wait until his girlfriend is around to give him print out lots of literature regards proper care for these puffers. I have offered him my 50 gallon tank SEVERAL TIMES. Which he does not "like the look of" ...I'm hoping that after a long discussion regarding proper care and such he might choose to keep them in a more proper housing I have also offered him a couple of my Endler's to keep in the fancy ten as they are massively hearty, prolific and practically impossible to kill.

I'm not very good at being mean to people....but I would never want the animals to die....To be honest I would just the gecko if I could and give the puffers to some one who could care for them....I guess I'm just not good at being a *****.....

Maybe this behavior is out of ignorance and maybe I can lessen that. Plus, one of the fish is the girlfriend's and I have noticed that she like them very very much so bring up that he is not caring for them right in front of her might force him to take better care.
