My Rope Fish

Hmmmm.... in my mind polys are 100% freshwater. I didn't know that ropes were any different. I've just read about polys not tolerating salt well, and have never heard of anyone keeping them in a brackish tank.
One of the local lfs had a brackish tank set up years ago dragon gobies, rope fish, some other gobies, mollies, scats or monos or some such thing. They had some plants in to kinda showing the diversity of a brackish set up. I had a rope fish at the time and was like W..H...A...T!

I love dragon gobies I used to have 3 they were in freshwater. All 3 were rescues from people who got them from walmart because they looked cool but had no clue about how to care for them and since I had always wanted them I knew what they needed so I explained it to them and they said I was a better home for them and I had a new fish. I had planned to transition their tank to brackish but I was forced out of the hobby before I could. They were coolest at feeding time I'd add the brine shrimp and all 3 would come out and puff themselves up and bounce around to show they were the biggest and should get 1st dibbs on the food

For such a large fish with a big mouth you'd never guess they are filter feeders. I kept 1 but couldn't keep up with the maintenance water quality would slip to fast. I had mollies and dragon goby kept at 1.009 30g cube. Fed ovamar, baby brine, and some powdered coral foods. It was before the saltwater days and I had no idea about skimmers which would have made it all work so well...........I was to young and had to much going on, mollies breeding like crazy lol I just gave them all to lfs.

I started my 1st dragon goby in a 20 long with some mollies but they were too aggressive of eaters so they were moved then the other 2 showed up and I moved all of them to a species only 55 gallon. Mine were 7", 8", and 9".
