I know. I've had numerous tanks on the floor.
But even if you suck the hose to start the siphon, does it continusly flow? or does it HAVE to be elevated?

I know, my other 75 has an AC 110, but I was on a small budget :(
Consider adding a canister or sump to both of your tanks. Check around on craigslist and ebay, you'll find something cheap...or make a DIY sump
For reference I use ac110s on 10-30g tanks..
Good start! Looking forward to pics of it running and stocked

*edit: if it's on the floor can't use a sump

Haven't head a chance to holler a "way to go" at you, Columbian. I'm glad you got another tank, you always go out of your way to try to help people if you can, I like that about you. It should earn you a 75 g :)

Thank you so much :)
Finally, some positive feedback!

I don't have the money for anything else. I actually didn't pay for any of my stuff. I convinced my mom that my columbians need brackish water, and I got a 4.0 GPA so I'm lucky enough to have got what I have.

I have a 10 gallon and a 29 gallon that I could use for sumps. But I have no idea how to make one

Welcome :-)
And to answer your previous question-the syphon will keep stopping if you've got a tank sitting on the floor and it's draining at the same level. I've got a tank 8" up off the floor and the syphon is reeeaaallll slow.

29g would be perfect! Read up a little in the DIY section, you'll see DIY stand, sump, and overflow
Congrats on the good grades!
