They are actually released from the Mother.:nilly: I only be able to see a few. Hopefully they are not eaten. :irked:
 
They should be OK as long as there aren't any fish in there. A few might eat each other, but you should be able to raise quite a few.

As long as the mother is well fed, they should be okay. Krebs are an extremely passive species, and one in which the mother doesn't cannibalize her young as much as all other species of crays do. The young will naturally prey upon weaker siblings, but this too is lessened in this species. Keep them well fed and provide them lots of cover (like plants) and they'll be growing soon enough. ^_^

what color is ur crayfish, these guys come in many different colors, i seen blue, orange, brown, and a few others, saw them on up for bid on ebay

Keep in mind that colorations in this species are NOT permanent, like they are in other species. And if advertised as such, they are wrong. The colorations are result of pH, lighting, food, dominance, etc. And come and go sporadically through out the crayfish's life, if the crayfish changes coloration at all.

Too true, my Marmorkrebs, have hit all those colors in the 6 months i've kept them. :headbang2
