...$20 for a kreb, ha! The only good thing that would come of that would be that less people would be inclined to own them 'cuz the wouldn't spend the money. And we'd probably have less issues with released krebs, but still!
I was going to buy some from smokin, but by the time I got the tank freed up, he was out of them. I'll get one eventually, but I'm working on stocking for the 500G right now, so my money is tied up there.
Mine changes colors from time to time too. Right now it's really dark due to my lighting and substrate (its black). Oh, one of them berried again. 
I just bought 5 1.5" for 34.99 with free shipping on ebay. They all arived alive and great. I am hoping to feed them to my stingrays.
