Ok mate.... Im just happy to have him! Hes beautiful, and goes very well my new huge motoro.:headbang2

If you know for a fact he is wild, then he is. This being able to tell wild from farm raised visually, I have always had a hard time with. Ask the expert what he sees that makes your fish farm raised.

If your fish was a fry when it was collected, and raised its entire life in captivity. How could he not tell that? When wild red devils, with he big lips are collected in the wild, the lose their "wild Look" in captivity. Could this happen with P bass? I think it is possible. For anyone to flat tell you that your fish is farm raised, is ridiculous.

Good luck with your wild fish.

cichla are not like red devils and carry their wild traits on throughout their lives. that is what makes wild cichla so sort after. when identifying wild cichla color and body shape speaks for itself

but as boggy said he is happy what he has so nothen else matters and yes he is still awsome looking..

hey bruce didnt you say the lfs was ordering you some baby wild cichla? what ever happened to that? are you hiding something from us?! :grinno:

I never see anybody claim to be an expert on wild pbass, but you.

I been on the boards, other boards, for 6 years..............I was around when Dmack and Chad, and all the pbass rage was strong. Nobody was able to tell wild from captive, but you.

Do you have any scientific proof that pbass retain their wild characteristics or is this just your personal observations?

i been around before chad and scott.. i been around since red1.. jarian and brian scott and i been on alot of other forums myself for years. bro grow up.. your the only one that bust my chops about this.. quite a few people here will back me up...i have own cichla alot longer then 6 years and they are the only fish i keep and i only collect wild ones. you eventually gain an eye, and yes there are methods to i.d.ing ....use the search button and you will see alot of post by me that helps explain how to i.d.wild cichla from farmies. i only see you post here once and a blue yet everytime you always give me a problem..suck up your b.s. pride and maybe you will learn a thing or too.
