My shark pond addition

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I like the project. deffinitly going to right direction. but some areas were jsut to small for a black tip. I have seen black tips pushing 4' and that wouldn't work to well in this pond.

but from reading on your site you did notice the shape was off for sharks. So I'm waiting to see the new pond in a different house.

Actually Blacktip reefs can get to be at least 5' and possible 6' long. So the pond is definitely too small for a blacktip reef shark. Also it's too small for a Spotted Wobbie - since they will reach 8-10 ft long. The Epaulette on the other hand is a perfect choice for that pond. Since it will only get to be about 36-42 inches long when full grown, and they live in tidal pools in the wild - where space is often as tight or even tighter than that pond is.

besides the shape and size , I did not like the black color.
made it hard to find the sharks. I think I will go with light blue next time..
