My Silver Dollar Sp's

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Tried the garbanzos? That may just be the trick to turn things around. Once eating again, probably will continue to devour everything.
Good luck!

The spotted male is doing the death spiral this morning. Netted him out and moved it to a 29g hospital tank ☹
I added 3 tablespoons of kosher salt

I am sorry to hear.
I am afraid something very wrong may be going on in there, but I don't know what, particularly when considering it started with some blotches on a single fish.
I just read the thread from Backfromthedead Backfromthedead , where he lost a bunch of beautiful fish, and the problem seems to have started in connection with the introduction of new fish. I recall you recently added some new fish, after a relatively short quarantine. You may want to read that thread, and hopefully nothing even remotely similar may be going on in your tank(s). It is a reminder for all of us never to lower our guard.
Again, I am very sorry. Hopefully that will be it without additional problems.

Thanks, so far none of the other fish are showing any signs of parasites or disease. Necropsy on the one show healthy organs and the gills were pink. Swim bladder was intact.

Very nice shots! Horny fish...
They look beautiful!
Can you post a recent picture of the female M. altidorsalis (not the lipincotianus). In the pictures above they appear twice, but not full body as you were centering on the lippincotianus.
Beautiful tank and fish. Thanks for posting.

Thanks! But no, not those, as those are 2 (or two views of one?) MALES M. altidorsalis.
I wanted to see the FEMALES (see clips from your previous shots). I think tou have 2 different ones. I only have one male altidordsalis (last photo attached) and don't have any females.
