One thing concerns me wolfchild .. how are you going to keep three snappers.. from what i have read once in captivity they cannot be released back into the wild.. do you intend to keep them.. ? Three is going to be tough since they need a huge amount of room and lots of water and filters and heaters in the winters etc.. i mean i was just wondering if u knew what your getting your self into... i only have one that i rescued as a quarter size baby.. but i could never handle three snappers growing .. you should not put them back in the wild because they would not know how to take care of themselves and they have not built up an immunity against the diseases.. I don't flame anyone because you really did not know how to pick them up.. i luckily never would think to use the tail.. so i never did that..but now u know.

agreed they where cool to observe but i couldnt take care of them all as adults not enough room in the end its whats best for the turtles so ill let them go today its a rainy day and i always see snappers on rainy days so today will be a good day to let them go

Thats good.. better to let them go now before the cold weather sets in..they can get familiar with the wildlife around them and then dig their hole to borrow in for the long winter..and hyberate.. you seem like a really good kid who loves your animals so i know it isn't easy to give them up but you did the right thing for the turtles..

ive seen professional turtle breeders handle there turtle like that.its like holding a dogs neck skin.i pick my snapper up with a shirt.i put the shirt on his entire body so he cant turn and bite me and he wont be able to see me either, while keeping my hands clean.

did you use the method i provided in uploading?
