Not sure about rays but sounds like stress. Also I have that exact same heater lolHi all,
Just pick ip my pup stingray 4 days ago.
In the new environment, First 2 day he doesn't move much and eat much.
Until today, Please see photos, he swim up and down to the top and also swim to the filter outlet
Is that a normal action for stingray, good or bad sign or doing this ???
Thanks

My previous stingray used to swim everywhere on the second day after I bought it. As long as it’s eating (even if it’s very little), it’s a good sign already. It could still be a little bit stressed, but give it abit more time and it would settle in nicelyNot sure about rays but sounds like stress. Also I have that exact same heater lol
I am pretty sure its not because tank lack of oxygen. I have a large air bubble running and 2 canister outlet on the water surface.I know that, it may take a while to settle. But the action he up and down in the tankand chase the outlet is that Allright.
First time has ray so not sure their habit
I’ve never kept or studied rays so I really don’t know but usually that action is known as glass surfing which is most likely from stress.I know that, it may take a while to settle. But the action he up and down in the tankand chase the outlet is that Allright.

So , don't need to too worry!!??My previous stingray used to swim everywhere on the second day after I bought it. As long as it’s eating (even if it’s very little), it’s a good sign already. It could still be a little bit stressed, but give it abit more time and it would settle in nicely
If I’m not wrong, 2-3 weeks for a ray pup. Before my pearl pup passed on, it carried on for about 3 weeks without foodI am pretty sure its not because tank lack of oxygen. I have a large air bubble running and 2 canister outlet on the water surface.
Also, how long can they with out eating??
