  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo

we didn't get any sturgeons, but we did get carp, buffalo, mooneye, sheepheads, channel catfish, red horse suckers...the carp was 30" and atleast 12lbs

Here is one we caught last year on the Detroit River. We didnt weight or measure it because we were in the middle of a walleye tournament. What would estimate its weight at? And theres just a pic of the first muskie of this year.

the muskie i would put into the 12-15lbs range and low 40" for length...the sturgeon i would put into the mid 40" range and for pounds somewere around 30lbs+-...it is tough to be super acurate from a pic as i don't know your shoulder width or your hight...if i see a fish in person i can get the visual lenght and weight within a few inches and lbs...my ability has been verified by 100's of people and fish...eg..i see the fish jump 50yds away i can say how long it is and be within 2"+- and within 5lbs+-...

it is worth the time...we are done for this sturgeon season, but the spring around april will start the new catch counter...i didn't get out much in the mid summer as i was mainly fishing pike and muskie...i just need to find out when the salmon run in the fall on the north shore...i hit up the spring run and do well...

great looking sturgeon... about time for the 2011 sturgeon count. next summer i will going back to indiana, and fishing for some bowfin, channel cats, and steelhead... so i might have to get some pics up for ya.

still got a few months till the 2011 count. the river is all iced up and i am icefishing right now. they start moving in early april. i have sat out there every weekend from march till july and they start moving in april. march you can sit out there all day and get 3-4 monster redhorse were talking 5-6lbs+, but nothing else.

fishing is fishing regardless tho. you get out you get out, when we go catfishing, we might only catch one channel, but like 7-8 bullheads. but its still fun.
