got out to the spot yester day...only got to fish for a few hours cause some school took a trip out to the river and there was 100+ 8th graders swimming on the spot...we did get 2 small sturgeons at around 20" each, some mooneyes, some suckers, sunfish, a well over 20lb snapping turtle and to many sheepheads to count...i will have some pis of the sturgeons and turtle in a few mins...

that turtle would inch tward me then launch at me and stretch out to try and bite me...it also came back a second time after the first capture to try to steal some fish again...

nothin better then sittin all day by the river messin with turtles, snakes, and fish that can be bigger then me...i couldn't get a pic of the snake we caught, but i think it was a fox snake that was 2.5'-3' long...
well at the last min. last night i decided to go out for some night fishing...i didn't got to the exact spot, but a secondary spot that i get alot of cats, sturgeons and there are reports of lots of american eels that i never can catch cause i want to get one...
my dad got one channel cat that was 22" and i got a 34.5" lake sturgeon...i got it at 12:30am and all i had was my camera phone so the pic isn't the best...it had 2 chestnut lamprays on it, that i dispatched for the sturgeon...this one was about 10lbs...i find that the ones from this spot are a few lbs more at the same length then at my other spot...eg. a 35" fish at the normal spot is 7-8lbs and this one was 10lbs...
this one brings us to 17 for the season and more to come!
