ya i got a nice little spot...most people never even see one in their fishing lives...i get an average of 1-4 a day depending on the year...

I'm guessing you catch and release, but what's the law on catching and keeping sturgeon where u are?

I have a small lfs purchased sturgeon in my koi pond. I can't wait until its 20+"

i catch and release...the law is in that streach of the river for a week or 2 in the fall i can keep one per year and it must be 60" min. i must have a per bought tag and register it like big game...

Time for a digital camera;)

Do the sturgeon spawn in this river? I read that you can keep one with a permit at certain times of the year. Do you eat them?

he is like the amish...tecnology scares him...i told him to just take pics with his camera phone and send them to me he couldn't figure that out also he thinks he can't pic message...

yes the sturgeon spawn in the river, it is a few miles up river that they do, but they do...i do not fish for them during the time i could keep them as i stop fishing in the fall due to hunting...even if i did i don't think i would as i have to much respect for them and the 60" min would be easy to come by in this river...a 60" fish is atleast 30 years old or more and i don't think i could kill a fish that old just to see if i like the taste...

good to hear. catch and release those big old fish. old fish, wild game etc. are much better eating at a younger age.
