Mine has a few nips on his tail from angels.. so thats another reason to move him soon.. have u looked up breeding ropes in captivity... has it been done??? here is pic i wanted to show u if it will work now...they are buddies...two bichirs and rope.
nice ropes and bichir, are those the only guys in your tank?
i don't have dats. The dats that i mentioned was from a previous owner of the bgk.

I think you could put the bgk with them.

Nice PSG, always liked them
Although I don't think your fish are that oddball-ish.You can see them commonly for sale in 90+% of L.F.S.
Oh, and you WILL miss your TT, believe me.

What's psg?
Dude, oddballs are those fishes that are unique in every way. Arowanas, bichirs, knives, gars, stingrays, lungfishes are also under the category of oddballs.
They maybe common there in the states (most fishes are exported to usa, canada, uk, japan) but here ropes, puffers are rare.
And the fishes that I consider common are the cyprinids, cichlids, livebearers etc.
About the tiretrack eel, i have another one. Just wanna sell the other guy coz i don't want them to start fighting when they grow much bigger.

I love your tiretrack and bgk( R.I.P)

If they can stand eachother now, you are good.Conspecifics usually shows fast on Mastacembelidae.Especially sub-adults like yours.
PSG is that Purple Spotted Gudgeon you have.

And I could of swore Oddballs were rarely seen fish.Like lungfish, 'mundis, sturgeon, etc, etc.

thnks, by the way dude the bgk in the pic is still alive, this is my new bgk. my old bgk (R.I.P.) was around 11 inches.

actually oddballs are the fish that don't really fall under any category. Like try calling a tiretrack eel a cichlid. just ain't gonna work. Oddballs are just... odd. Anyway, nice fish. Are ropefish and tiretrack eels tough to take care of? What size aquarium do you need for them, what do they eat, etc.
