well good luck and i hope it works as well for you as it did for me. at first i though about killing the fish, because i thought it would just prolong the misery. she ended up healthy and very mean. she is still pretty small. her flowers even grew back.

Yea if the tail bone was chewed up or damaged, chances are the tail never grows back. Think about the heart shaped parrots(tails clipped when young), they don't grow their tail back.
Hope he heals up though, only time will tell!

my mate has some malaiw cichlids witch 1 had its tail complety off but it has grown back in weeks i think 1 months and it is back fine know

good look with him/her any way That Fry looks bigger then 1 inch and the damage that the fish has sustained is extensive, I highly doubt that the tail will grow back. Good luck tho....
lol believe it or not it exactly 1 ich haha still very small lol.the smallest in the patch too.that's why it got attack lol.
