I just hope my Mloto Midnights show up alive or I'll be really pissed off. Does anyone know of any distributers that have this species? I may need to know if the worst happens:(

Mike, I have 3 4 gang boxes wired up as follows (oh yeah desscription not in order of previous pics in post, reverse)

Box 1 has a main line in from the wall outlet starting out at a GFCI breaker. Also has a single switched outlet for my heater and a digital timer and outlet for my 12k day lights.

Box 2 has a main line from the GFCI in box 1 running a Digital timer and outlet for my Actinic Dawn/ Dusk Lighting and a Digital timer and outlet for my moon lighting.

Box 3 has a main line from GFCI in box 1 to a switch then 3 outlets to control my Eheim 2229 Wet/ Dry filter, 18 w UV light, FX5. In the spring I will also plug in my 2 B-11 air pumps incase of power failure (few and far between but does happen once in a blue moon)

I did all the wiring myself as I hate the use of power strips and this allows me to keep all cords dry and excess slack zip tied neat and out of the way. The 3 Way on the GFCI controls my 10 Gl. Fry tank that sits under the stand as I needed one extra outlet and I have to unplug and move the thing out to service my FX5 or Eheim also need a shoe horn as it takes all the space under the stand with those 3. My lighting schedule is as follows:

6 - 7:30 am Moonlights
7:30-9:30 am Actinic Dawn
9:30 am-7:30 pm Daylights
7:30-9pm Actinic Dusk
9-11pm Moonlights
11-6 no lights the fish seem to really enjoy this schedule.

Craig, Do you have any undesirble algae problems with the actinics, or does the UV fry everything. I did away with my morning cycle because I was getting nasty reddish algae on my rock and plants. I change my bulb every 6 months and do weekly water changes (15-25%). My city water is pretty high in phors. so that contributes. The local lfs said to use RO and forget about the actinics. I'm thinking about a small 4 gallon RO unit but I can't see myself losing the night cycle. All the Peacocks look awesome under it. The catfish love the lower light. And I love chilling out at night just vegging in front of my tank w/ the actinics ripping. Is their hope, or should I listen to my fish dealer. Thanks Matt

if you move to RO won't you have add chem to adjust the PH? I mean they like it high. I would stay away from RO or add RO to your water and do a mix when you do water changes, or even better, when you just top off use RO. This way you keep the level the same as before it evaporated and left the hard stuff behind. what does everyone else think?
