What ive found w/ the pricing of Dats, or actually any fish other than arowanas, is that it all depends on where you buy the fish. for example large ST's can go for as little as 100 USD to as much as 1500 USD. i think alot has to do with markings on dats and the availablity at the time. one secret i found is that the higher price large dats sold in LFS's usually come from distirubtors. the cheap ones come from customer returns.
indos are the same way but usually dont go any higher than 200 dollars for a 14 inch specimen...that ive seen anyway.

What kind of markings determine what kind of price. In other words, what markings are more desirable thus commanding a higher price?

From what i can tell, the "imperfect bars" such as split bars, incomplete bars, or mismatched bars seem to be cheaper most of the time. most dats that ive seen with nice, clean, almost symmetrical bars cost alot more. Its just an observation ive made while shopping for dats. perosnally, i buy the dats that seem more personable and active, regardless of their patterns. one of the new terms ive seen for dats that are costing more are the patchy patterned dats. ive seen them labeled as "military dats"

very nice tigers you got there
