So I've had this guy for a little over a year now, was around 4" when I got him and is probably a little over 12" right now. I've made many growout threads for tigers so I figured I'd just wait till this guy is bigger to make a thread for him :). I think I got a stout again... what do you think C Chicxulub ?
He was kept in my 135 for about 8 months and moved over to this tank about 2 months ago. So far he seems to be doing great and is definitely enjoying the extra space.

I'm only seeing two scale rows between the LL and pelvic fin. That'd make him vatf sensu stricto.

A regular vatf can still be quite thick. I called the stouts by that name due to them having 3-4 scales between the LL and fin, making a well fed fish look like it has a gut like me after having an entire pizza and some beer. Honestly I wanted a better name, but I couldn't think of anything better that's appropriate.

Lmao! I see that this guy has 2 rows but believe it or not, the guy hadn’t eaten for 3 days when I took the above pics! He fat lol. That’s why I was having doubts. Thanks for clarifying.
