How long did you manage to keep one in fresh?
Also remember it could be Allenbatrachus grunniens, which I have kept. I had mine in total fresh for four years and it was sadly another tank mate that caused its demise. In those four years, I also had my two spawn and the female died during spawning. I'm not saying it works for everyone in fresh, but it can, and did for me.
