my neighbours just told me about the tap water.. its prime and also its drinking water as well

its should be ok for my tigrinus?

Tigs are FISH you idiot! IF you are using tap water from your city, then you have to use a water conditioner which makes the tap water safe for FISH, AKA TIGS as well... if you dont know about tigs then you shouldnt have bought the fish in the first place... do the leg work that is needed to keep rare and exotic fish which is research then buy... you already have these fish in a 3ft long tank, which IMO is about 40gal.... thats way to small... and now you dont even know that you have to add the necessary water conditioner to your tap water to make the water SAFE for fish.... something isn't adding up here... honestly... how long have you had a tank?? couple weeks? lol anybody that has been in the hobby for any amount of time knows they have to condition their tap water, bc the water company put in toxic additives like chlorine and chloramine.... you probably dont even have a test kit to test your water parameters, and the tiny tank is prolly under filtered, which is another reason your tig is acting weird but you wont know unless you get a test kit.....

wow.... tap water does not have prime in it.... your neighbor is dumb... good goto your LFS pick up a bottle of prime and a test kit. DONT get the test strips as they do not work!

Right I'm not going to mess around I'm tell how I feel

I can't come and see your tig I'm in hospital

I don't work in a aquatic shop

I don't know you are ordering stuff fro
The US the UK is not a 3rd world country and we can get any meds you need in a shop

You don't have a clue what you are doing

You should not have gone out and got a expencive fish like a tig when you have no idea about fishkeeping

What's the ph as the water looks very hard with them rock things you have added

All tap water need to be treated with tap water conditioner

I'm sorry but right now I feel so sorry for this tig as you are kill it

I don't think I can help you or the tig sorry

what JK9194 sent me

"my water company is thames water.

it said

'Our drinking water contains low levels of chlorine which ensures the water is safe to drink, and serves to protect public health' "

wow experienced fish keeper  man i am all for trying to help you but seriously don't tell someone that you have been keeping fish since you were 3 :ROFL:and not know something like this :screwy: .... i don't mean to be an ass... but either start researching what you need to do to keep fish or find them a good home.... i just hope it's not to late for your fish cuz you have no idea what to do for them... i'm actually amazed they have made it this far....
