Since I am going back to Tiraspol soon, I have decided to stop by Kiev Pet Market. It's like a zoo for poor people))) Now, I don't condone selling animals like this, but it's still interesting to see. Sometimes you can find some pretty neat fish there. Unfortunately, there were not real exotics there this time. I wanted to by some rabbit snails (Tylomelania species), but couldn't find any. If you get bored, pleas sign up for my
blog http://coolgobyfish.blogspot.com/ Plus, there more photos there, since i can only put 20 on this post))

Typical Set Up

Some African Clawed Frogs (Xenopus laevis) and Axolotls (Ambystoma mexicanum) for Sale

Midas Cichlids (Amphilophus citrinellus), but probably a hybrid))

Some more rows of fish

Mixed African Cichlids for Sale: not sure what kind

Assassin Snails Clea helena . Not sure if I can trust a snail with a name like that )))

Some Discus for Sale

Costumer picking out some fish

Some more fish for sale

Blue and Golden Gourami (Trichopodus trichopterus) and a cool albino Hoplo Catfish (Megalechis thoracata)

Nice! We have something similar here in Chicago. Its mainly cichlids though and 70 percent africans. I like how there is everything there.

Definitely kinda cool but I feel pretty bad for all animals involved. But they do look pretty healthy, do they just move fish really quickly so they're not in those tanks for too long?

They usually just bring them in for a day (sat or sunday)

Love seeing how other places sell fish. As already said they look healthy.
Do you ever see any of the rarer species or just bread and butter?
