I think he meant "photography lessons" as an answer to your question, "Can you advise me to make them any better?"

You know, like, "Hey how can I make my pictures better?"

"I dunno, photography lessons maybe?"

But I agree with the majority here since I had a breeding pair of red devils and didn't know which was male or female. I thought the bigger was the male so I kept it. Even had a bigger nuchal hump than the other, but it turned out to be a female.

So yes the female red devils can have that nuchal hump, but its much much more rare for flowerhorn females to lack a dorsal spot.

You are right...I ,miss read his post. I took it as him replying as if he were saying..."you want me too give you photo lessons?" I was off and you are right...Moreover are you saying you think the FH is a male because it lacks a tell tale dorsal spot?

Mystery fish, FH of some sort. If you compare the vent openings between the two fish, the males should be smaller, therefore making the females the larger.
Definitely have seen female RDs with nice nuchals.

They look the same to me ...oo at first and Oo now....I guess when it come to venting....I.....

hahaha., Hey Spizz, hard to say, but in in looking at the photos of your Flowerhorn, I am guessing male because of the lack of black spots on the dorsal....this is in now way 100% though....And, in all truth, sometimes two females will go through the motions, even lay eggs, but can't fertilize.....yeah, some fish are go both ways...hahah.

The mystery fish looks like the female due to the vertical bars Trimac females get when spawning. The RD/Midas has a pretty large hump; I don't think females get humps of that size.

I have seen a few females with impressive humps. I'm putting my money of the RD/Midas being the female of the two.

That is what my mom says also...:( I want the RD to be the guy and the FH I really do not care what the sex is. I want to break them up, but I think they are in love...

the mystery fish looks like a trimac x uro, and from looking closely at pic #4 I would say both are female

Anyone else think I am right or wrong with these?^^^
