My two parrot fish keep biting the stingray

Fellow monsterfishkeepers, I bought a 4 inch teacup stingray for my 140 gallon. Once I put it in there my 2 blood parrot cichlids which are very territorial kept biting him and eventually they bit a peice off. So i put both of them in the sump thinking that would help for 24 hours but no luck . I currently put a divider

Any ideas or comments ? How long will it heal? Thanks

You should not keep them together. Get rid of one or the other!

But ive heard and saw on youtube that these fish are fine together...
btw i love my parrots i consider them the smartest aquarium fish and stingrays are coool too =]

They may be fine together 99% of the time but apparently your BP's are not cool with the sting ray. Internet facts are guidelines that don't hold anything on real life experience.

I love BP's too but if you want the stingray it's going to need another tank or you have to pick between the two.

Same here, had to get rid off one of mine and it was really hard. Is yours a breeding pair, you might need to get rid of the male and that would calm the female down? Maybe you could add a convict to keep them distracted.
