Ahh man no pics of the amazonian exhibit-------i went for the first time on my honey moon a year ago.

nice... i wanna go there one day...

The Shedd is a must see, not only for the fish, but for the cool architecture too!
Thanks for the pics!

I was very disappointed when I visited the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago. I was expecting much more than it had to offer. I have visited several aquariums and my favorite so far is the Tennessee Aquarium in Chattanooga. We spent the entire day there. It's best to visit during the week due to the large crowds on the weekends.

I have to say I've been to the Shedd quite a few times and even have memberships from time to time. I always love going . If anyone who lives in or around the city get a chance to get a membership get one. For one thing by the time you buy the tickets for a family of 4 you could have bought a pass for a year. Two, they invited members to the members only night and it is great. You can go behind the scenes and on top of the great barrier reef exhibit. It was well worth the trip into the city during rush hour.

With that being said a few years ago we went to the Tennessee Aquarium and love it to death. I have to say that it was the best aquarium that I've been to. I heard that they have added even more since we were there. I can't wait to go back.

It sure it.....spectacular!!!!!

Out of all the ones I went to I liked the Fort Worth zoo the best. They had a really nice Aquarium. You could fit a 2-story house inside their Amazon tank. They had 6 foot catfish and about a 15 foot gigas. I just heard the other day they shut it down a few years ago :(

Next was Cincinnati Zoo, They had 5-6 foot Pacus in there.

The best saltwater was just across the border from Cincinnati in Tennessee( I don't know if this is the same one that you mentioned katschamne).

I didn't care much for the San Antonio (except for the mass of Plecos) or Dallas ones.

For those that don't know San Antonio Zoo had a man made river going around some of the zoo animal cages that had lots of plecos in them.

I was disappointed in the Toledo Zoo
