I know you made a mistake and arent happy about it, but its not entirely your fault, you had good intentions. You now know what mistake you made and learned from it. But always make sure that newly added water is treated prior to addign it to your tank. Water from the tap is filled with all kinds of junk. When I do changes I add checmicals to my bucket and mix it around, and I try to have the temp around what the temp is in the tank. It sometimes can be more crucial than this though. Sometimes theres softness/hardness and PH you have to be aware of. Soem fish can tolerate some difference, but others are very sensitive to changes. The good thins is most common fish are pretty hardy and can tolerate some difference.

Thanks for the support guys. The search for a better tank will continue and hopefully ill get one big enough to keep a tsn or another channel. Im still in the MCL though with my little channel![]()
