my whole collection pic heavy

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Thanks. I knew I had too many when I had that tem ghost me for 8 days.

Over all it is for the best. Once these bass readjust to being such a small group. They have become very timid since all this has happened. That is why I have thought about geting 2 more xingus. The ones I can get have large spangles. The body structure just doesnt seem right so I hesitate on them. Plus they have been fed live for the last few months so it will be more work. I also may get an azul. I like the light stock though. The tank looks better imo with the lighter stock. About 15 years ago up to a few years ago I wanted to cram as many as I could. I also saw a tank as wasted with one fish in it. Now I actually like a 1 fish per tank given it is the right fish.

If I looked closer to the rays when I got them I wouldn't have got them. Hips were strongly showing and the female had a dent in her forehead. I saw they were thin when I got them but I have brought many rays back and only have lost retics in the past. Something about losing a fourth decimal place fish that hurts a lot more.

Persistence, Durability, Endurance, Continuence, Ceaselessness, and most importantly Dedication. The reward is at the end when these guys are large, mature and full color. Gorak thinning the heard is the best thing for overall water quality and fish health good move on your part, I'm sad for the Female BD I could see hip bones in the pics sorry for your loss. Full grown xingu and brokopondo are beautiful when large aside from kels. Looking real good keep up the good work and keep the updates coming!!

The wifey already hounding me to give them up already because I have a set of twins coming in 6 months! I'm getting worried. I'm trying to hang in there since I've seen beautiful Peacocks that you guys own already. I wanna get there myself. Watching these guys grow encourages me to keep up with all the maintenance. So far, none of them are sick, they were prone to ich when I got them but now those are gone due to being persistent.

Im hoping for too much. Wish I could build a pond and throw these guys in but what good is that when I can't enjoy them in my living room. I was also looking into already buying or building a bigger tank but I have no experience in building one. Im way overstocked and these guys are fighting a lot more now. One of the Temensis is getting really aggressive. He's punking everyone besides the Dats. I already know why but damn, getting frustrated. Hahaha

I hear you I've got 4 kids ages from 19 all the way down to 20months last one was a suprise and a big blessing, keep up the hard work it took me three years to save up for my 600 gallon acrylic tank and Im going bigger next time. I've been up many nights late doing a 400 gallon water change on the 600 because thats the only time i have to do it or allowed for that matter lol and im lucky to have support from my wife..... I dragged the whole family to the airport to pickup a stingray :D I told the kids it was a family adventure and they get to name the new addition

Dang. I just get so exhausted from work already and now I'm getting two new additions. I love raising fish but "it's killing me Larry." Hahahaha.. glad you were able to get a 600 gal. I don't even know how you are able to take care of that! I'll hang in there as long as I could.

Well.... I gotta say I am on the same page with running around balencing. Got a 12, 9, 1 and 1 on the way for kids. With that said on to the fish update. Lol

Been really busy. Did some more adjustments. Really liking the way this quad is working out. Like it so much I ended up not getting an azul and xingu to add. Even though I was tempted. I instead added an atabapo type 1 pike. Had to pull the tig as I didnt trust the pike. I did at first until I saw how big the mouth was when it was done taking s from the intermedia. Lol.. Now the pike owns the stump...haha.. Everyone is playing nice now that they all realize the pike isnt going to be punked. They hang together now. Except when I am visible. Then the pike dips into the stump. Still settling in. I added a big sword from my discus tank. Also moved the stump along with shutting a powerhead off. Trying a few things to see how it goes. Liking it..

Oh yeah my eyes are blinded from the spots. It is like looking into the night sky...my favorite..

Well been a while. Been really busy. The brokopondo has been more picky on eating pellets randomly. Still eating but not pounding them like the xingu and intermedia. I have since last update moved the xingu and intermedia into the 180gal. I also moved the broko back into the 75gal. Had to make room for my discus group.

Amazing collection :)

Thanks

Here is one of my brokopondo. There is feeders in there cause my type 1 pike only eats feeders. I am selling it as I dont have time to break it. Between basement finishing, deck building, job, yard leveling, tree cutting, truck engine swaping, and a new baby due in 2 weeks I am streatched out.

This broko is the slowest grower I habe had in a long time. It shot up to this size like a rocket then holds. 20170801_123814.jpg
