Thanks. I knew I had too many when I had that tem ghost me for 8 days.
Over all it is for the best. Once these bass readjust to being such a small group. They have become very timid since all this has happened. That is why I have thought about geting 2 more xingus. The ones I can get have large spangles. The body structure just doesnt seem right so I hesitate on them. Plus they have been fed live for the last few months so it will be more work. I also may get an azul. I like the light stock though. The tank looks better imo with the lighter stock. About 15 years ago up to a few years ago I wanted to cram as many as I could. I also saw a tank as wasted with one fish in it. Now I actually like a 1 fish per tank given it is the right fish.
If I looked closer to the rays when I got them I wouldn't have got them. Hips were strongly showing and the female had a dent in her forehead. I saw they were thin when I got them but I have brought many rays back and only have lost retics in the past. Something about losing a fourth decimal place fish that hurts a lot more.
