  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Got a motor for that thing yet?

That's kind of scary...this looks exactly like my Dad's old fishing boat from a long time ago. It's the same color and everything. :nilly:

I am sure you will be putting it to good use once it warms up. :)

Are you towing this with your car?

Well it is an Indianapolis boat! Do you know when he sold it?

I cant decide if I want to tow it with my car or not. The boat is VERY light. You can move it on the trailer by holding it with just a few fingers so my car could easily pull it. Im concerned that because the car is kind of low to the gound that I may mistakingly put the trunk in the water!

That would be funny, but he lives north of Fort Wayne towards Michigan. I don't remember when he sold it, but the last time I remember it was around 20 years ago.

Sweet, I have a really old Johnson 10 HP, that thing just won't die. Starts on the first pull every year.

Oh I think Ive thought of a name..I dont know if anyone is familiar with country but there is a song by Brad Paisley about a man going fishing even though his wife is threatening to leave him if he does...the hook is, "Im gonna miss her..." I figured itd be a good name with as much time I hope to spend on it!
mine was green but the sun faded the bottom so it looks almost white and has some mud stains on the bottom in a splatter pattern so i dubbed it "The Dirty Mexican"

but I scored this '57 18HP Evinrude fasttwin today for $75! The boat came with a '56rude 10HP fasttwin. For $75 I couldnt turn it down. Owner said it ran like a top but it hasnt been ran in four years.

What do yall think? The blue one is the 18HP BTW. :headbang2

i'd take on old one rather than a newer one. simply because they are constructed better (not much plastic) they will last forever all they require is a little TLC every now and then. both look reall nice!
i'll give you $75.99 for on of them:headbang2

The older ones are nice. Im going to take them both to a marine mechanic and have them go through them real good to ensure dependability. I may sell the 10hp come spring when they are in more demand for $150 or so depending on how much if any I put into it.

I got a feeling that the 18hp will push the boat at a good clip.
