Hoplias intermedius, as I understand it these were sold previously as sao Fransisco lacerdae. Unfortunaty the photos don't show the strong metalic yellow colouring.

My aimara. This wolf is very active and seems to really enjoy the high flow and very rarely sits on the bottom.

All I need now is a Mala

Thanks. Yes he is a special fish. I always imagined this would be a stationary sit on the bottom fish. They naturally live in rapids and under waterfalls so I added a powerhead which really seems to have enhanced his behavour. He will sometimes sit infront of the powerhead and try to swim into it. I would recommend everyone who has an aimara sticks in a powerhead.

Thanks. There are a couple more as well. I say Mala because there is a very nice 3"er at my LFS at the moment. Very tempted.

hey jelly, does the intermedius have a lacerdae or mala jaw? my mala looks just like that and has a gold sheen.
