My Wolf's new home!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
so smal update...

... I should be taking my Gold wolf group to 6 within the next week. My current baby is an utter monster. He's 4-5" and has destroyed a 10 fish shoal of 2" Columbian tetras and is currently hunting my A. Hecklii. The Hecklii are 3"..! I had my 10" 'small wolf' in the same tank and it never touched either the tetra or the Hecklii so this little fella is meeeean!

Talking of the other Gold wolves; i recently returned the medium wolf to the main tank having healed from it's brutal savaging. I watched events for 6 hours and cringed everytime the little fella panicked, hurting itself by throwing itself into the glas sliderss and even the wood for no real reason. It hasn't been tagged or caught by either wolf in the 320g but has managed to become the single worst looking fish. Scales are hanging off, flesh and redness. I'm seriously worried about the little guy but he's feeding and has definately calmed so who knows.

OT Jelly, if there's anything interesting at WW at the moment i'd be interested. I'm thinking of popping up this weekend.

More pics to come.

Update time.

Well I'm quite excited and a little nervous as well as I've just made a couple of new additions;

F0 Guyanan Ocellaris- 17"

Brycon Hilarii- 15";

I have literally just added them both having driven for a total of 4 hours and things are... tense. My Curupira is not a happy bunny and has been pulling faces continuously. Knowing how territorial he is, I was expecting some aggression but I'm going to have to keep a real eye on him. Interestingly though, he's only being snappy to the new stuff so I'm hoping he'll calm down eventually. It's sense though. Even the Gold wolf is a bit antsy...

I know the jittery nerves upon new introductions..Belzebub must be roving around, all inflated and gills open , and we never know when the **** hits the fan...

Awesome fish you got, in any case!

as stupid as this sounds, I've never seen an adult bass in person and I'm quite blown away by how awesome they are. And the Hilarii. At this size, it's quite an impressive fish.

Soon though, I'll have the golds in there too. That will be a sight!

Thanks Miguel and Steve.
