i just got 3 of these from Rapps, they are really great, if you lived closer I would sell you one.

I am now focusing on the dominant male, doubled in size to about three inches. doing great. interesting how much trouble people have had with them, I have had mine in tank with much larger cichlids(until today) and they seem to be doing great. well I dont want to lose this one so I am going to be careful.

question: what else do they like to eat other then your average high protein pellet?

Yes i agree too. if you want one then buy half dozon to and hopefully one will make it through bloat stage. keep up on water quality, veggie diet until adult and its best to keep them in species tank. they have tendacy to stress to much when younger and that will lead to bloat as well. have cloat on hand to medicate and theres another medication but i cant remember right now. i bought 6 and have them in 125 with 4 beani same size @2.5" and i lost two nasty's and one beani so far to bloat. its like playing russian roullette. anyway good luck. post pics if you get any
